Vision Van `T Hazelarenhoekje

Nickname: Vision
Passport: Vision Van `T Hazelarenhoekje
Foaled: 1998
Height: 16.3 hands
Gender: Stallion

This perfectly proportioned Belgian bred stallion is approved by the Belgian Warmblood Society, and Rheinland Pfalz-Saar, and has been IJF nominated. Sired by 2004 Olympic competitor Clinton, Vision lives up to his famous Grand Prix heritage, exhibiting boldness, intelligence and a great willingness to perform. He possesses Clinton’s well noted superior conformation, excellent movement, and superb jump. Exceptional in his style, ability, and good-natured disposition, he has drawn admiration and compliments from many renowned trainers, including the BWP inspection judges.

Vision began his show career in Ireland where he qualified for the Dublin Horseshow as a 4 year old. In 2004, his first complete year of showing in the United States, Vision competed at levels 3 and 4 in A-rated shows, ending the season with three first place finishes and two third placements.

After a year off due to rider injury, Vision returned to the show ring in 2006, competing in The Young Jumpers at WEF with consistent rounds over the challenging courses. Throughout the summer, he continued in The Young Jumpers and placed consistently in the ribbons at HITS in Saugerties, New York. Competing in Level 6 at the Vermont Summer Festival, Vision received second place honors.

Vision’s offspring ranked as premium foals in both the BWP and RHPSI testing, replicating his extraordinary conformation and disposition. The oldest foals, born in 2004, will soon be started and we are anticipating that Vision’s strong jumping prowess and disposition will carry through into their careers.

Vision is the only approved BWP stallion by Clinton in the United States. Besides his 2004 Olympic success, Clinton was one of the “eye catchers” at Belgium’s 1996 stallion show in Oud-Heverlee. Now Clinton and his rider, Dirk Demeersman, perform at the international level with most notable results, including fourth place in the individual jumpers in the Athens Olympics.

Offspring of Clinton achieved impressive rankings at foal shows in Belgium. His progeny impressively won first, second, and third places at a free jumping competition in Lier, clearly exhibiting his ability to pass on his superior jumping talent to his offspring.

Clinton’s sire, Corrado I, is by the famous foundation stallion Cor De La Bryere. Corrado I has an extensive list of achievements in both breeding and competition. This includes 14 approved stallions and wins in many Grand Prix classes, Nation’s Cup, and World Cup competitions. Corrado I has won over 500,000 DM which places him as the most successful of Cor De La Bryere’s offspring. Clinton’s dam, Urte, inherited the talent of her mother, Ohra, by performing well at the national level. Ohra, under the show name, Olympia, competed successfully at the international level.

Vision’s dam, the Westphalian mare Lashio, also comes from a long line of impressive Grand Prix talent. Alme Z, recognized as a phenomenon for being the foundation stallion influencing almost all of the German Warmblood breeds, was himself an international show jumper and is known for transmitting this gift to his progeny. During the time he stood stud at the Belgium studfarm, Zangersheide, Alme Z sired through the successful international mare, Wonne, the influential Hanoverian stallion Alexis Z, Vision’s grand-sire. Lashio’s dam comes from the strong Westphalian line originating from the stallion, Pilot.
