Philosophy

The Swept Away Farm team is dedicated to the development of good tempered, sound, high quality amateur and professional horses. We believe horses must be challenged but at a pace that builds confidence and courage. We stress consistency and patience in training our horses knowing that is the foundation for building successful careers in a horse. Each horse is an individual with its own talent and strength. We work with that awareness. We encourage, we do not force a horse to go beyond its comfort zones. We are dedicated to bringing out the best in our horses. The time-tested methods learned and developed by Joe Forest in his 30 years of training, bring out the best in our horses so they may perform safely with eagerness, enthusiasm and confidence.
